Mr. Christian Nti, Director General of the Ghana Highway Authority has stated that the success of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will partly depend on the quality of roads in participating countries.

The Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GITFiC) has called for sustained sensitization of the Ghanaian public and the business community of the benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The Ghana International Trade and Conference (GITFiC) says it supports the government’s current review of the benchmark values. A statement signed by Chief Executive Officer of GITFiC, Selasi Koffi Ackom noted that,
‘’a 30% reduction for all goods and a 10% reduction on vehicles is a decisive and satisfactory move to please all stakeholders’’.
The Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GITFIC) has recommended plausible ways to West African leaders to improve on activities that attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) while limiting the activities that bring about bottlenecks to host countries.
They said International trade was the source of FDI and ECOWAS must uphold the AfCFTA agenda in high esteem to promote FDI to the sub-region.
The Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GITFiC) at their sixth annual conference recommended the upscaling of education on the Pan African Payment and settlement systems (PAPSS).
The key players, they suggested, would be the PAPSS Council, GITFIC secretariat, WAMI and the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), secretariat who would target Traders’ Unions, Industry players, Exporters, Financial Watchers and Analysts.
